OUR PROGRAMS

Details of the programs we offer are as follows:

Inclusive/One-on-One Academic Programming

Our academic programming is very individualized and intensive. We focus on helping exceptional children to acquire academic skills, social interaction abilities, functional communication, language skills, and appropriate behaviour functioning based on each child's motivation and readiness. For this reason, each and every program is different in order to ensure that each student’s individualized needs are met. Our inclusive teaching strategies are effective for all students in both the regular classrooms and intensive natural/home environments. Special virtual sessions can also be setup without changing geographical location.

Upon acceptance into the centre, each student is assigned a teacher and program coordinator. The program coordinator reviews the information and guides the child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Our teachers are highly skilled in various evidence-based academic intervention and therapeutic methodologies such as the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children (TEACCH). Data collection is done on a continuous basis, and meetings are held with families on a regular basis to review the child’s progress and any concerns.

Consultation

We provide consultation regarding specific issues bordering on inclusive teaching strategies, teaching technologies, student behaviour and classroom management. We also help general schools to setup inclusive special education features, and train their staff to be effective special educators.

Observation and Assessment

We conduct observations in order to obtain accurate, detailed, verifiable information about the child being assessed and his/her surrounding contexts. Our assessments are based on ABLLS, VB-MAPP and CTOPP-2.

The assessment of basic language and learning skills (ABLLS) is an educational tool used frequently with applied behavior analysis (ABA) to measure the basic linguistic and functional skills of an individual with developmental delays or disabilities.

The Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) is an assessment, skills-tracking system and curriculum guide to assess the language, learning and social skills of children with autism or other developmental disabilities. A strong focus of the VB-MAPP is language and social interaction, which are the predominant areas of weakness in children with autism.

The CTOPP-2 is an assessment of phonological awareness, phonological memory, and naming. This assessment features all new normative data and a new phonological awareness subtest known as Phoneme Isolation.

Our professional recommendations will be based on these observations and assessments.

Curriculum and Training/Therapy Schedule

We design curriculum for each student based on the child's unique individual needs (using Individualized Education Plans -IEPs).

Reports

We prepare daily and/or weekly reports for each child for the purpose of effective progress monitoring and re-evaluation.

Play Ground Design

We provide assessment and specific recommendations for creating the appropriate play environment to support leisure activities for exceptional learners while at the same time developing language, social and play skills.

Resources and Therapy Solutions for Special Needs

We supply high quality special education resources, toys and other products to our individual and corporate clients.

Training Workshops

We provide school-based training workshops and seminars for staff on professional development. Our training workshops cover practical topics such as teacher-leadership, teaching strategies, behaviour management, classroom management, integrating technology in the classroom and effective reading, writing and study skills for learning disabled and struggling students. We also train parents, therapists, support staff and other caregivers.
